| Marcus Charles is a local consultant and business owner. Since 1997, he has owned, operated, and consulted on a number of entertainment / retail properties, including the Crocodile, The Capitol Hill Block Party, Neumo's, Raven's Brew Coffee, Juju, Spitfire, Marcus' Martini Heaven, among others. In 2008, Marcus earned an MBA from the Foster's School of Business at the University of Washington. Since that time, Marcus has been concentrating his efforts on business development, strategic planning, relationship building, boot strap financing, small cap mergers and acquisitions, non-traditional marketing campaigns, and building & leading cross-functioning teams for himself and others. Marcus' passion is watching the micro retail environment, identifying emerging trends before they saturate the mass market and loss credibility. "it's easy to say that technology has changed consumer behavior, but understanding and then maximizing social networks and web 2.0 applications to drive back mortar sales, is an art not easily mastered," Marcus says. "Selling entertainment properties to the tastemaker consumer everyday has demonstrated to me time and again the value of establishing significant brand equity through shared interactions, which is then the driver in developing critical mass and greater market share." |
